Prince of Peace

“There will be no more gloom for those who were in distress.”

Isaiah 9:1

One of the great promises of the coming of Jesus is that He brings an end to gloom, despair, and hopelessness.

Seven hundred years before Bethlehem, the prophet Isaiah looked into the future and declared: “There will be no more gloom for those who were in distress.” — Isaiah 9:1

Darkness may have covered the land, but God was already writing a new beginning. And then Isaiah speaks the promise every heart still longs to hear: “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…” — Isaiah 9:6

A Child — fully human.
A Son — fully God.
Given — not earned, not deserved, but given.

This is the Christmas message:
The Light has come.
Hope has a name.
And despair does not get the last word.

His name is Jesus — Prince of Peace.
